[The cytofluorimetric characteristics of monoclonal antibodies for use in humans in respect of their activity and cross reactivity].

A cytofluorimetric method for determination of the reactivity of antimyeloma MkAt 225,28S with myeloma cells and blood elements is described in the present article. The obtained results show that the antibody possesses high specific activity and does not bind with normal human lymphocytes, monocytes, granulocytes, thrombocytes and erythrocytes in the examined dilutions. The method is suitable for control of cross reactivity with blood cells of MkAt preparations for usage in subjects.

[Evaluation of the immune status of pupils of the Secondary Vocational-Technical School of Rubber and Plastics].

Children of a Secondary Polytechnical school of rubber and plastics were studied. The task aimed at tracing the immunological reactivity of the young generation in the conditions of the chemical industry. The following methods were used: reaction for reactivity of the neutrophylic leucocytes, defining of hemoglobins G, M, E, establishing the complement in serum, the skin autoflora condition, assessment of the microbic saliva content. No significant deviation, expressing decrease of the immunologic reactivity of the organism of the schoolchildren during their training in industrial conditions were established.

[Natural immunity of the pupils in a secondary vocational and technical school for rubber and plastics].

In connection with the reconstruction of the educational system and occupational training of the youths, the problem of the effect of the occupational factors on the organism of the juveniles is of exceptional importance. The search of early changes by the application of immunological tests in that aspect is very rational. The state of microflora of the deep layers of the skin, the microbic contamination of nasal mucosa have been studied as well as the content of complement in serum and serum immunoglobulins G, A and M and the phagocytosis in the students from SPTS. The experimental subjects have exposed to a complex of toxic-chemical substances with different intensity during their occupational training and practice. It has been established that the training under the specific conditions for mastering the specialty has led to a slight decrease of the antimicrobic resistance and reduction of the phagocytic function of leukocytes, not affecting the humoral factors of natural immunity.

[Effect of leucogen on the proliferation of antibody-synthesizing cells].

The authors examined the effect of leucogen on cells synthesizing antibodis in spleens of white mice during immune response to sheep erythrocytes. They established a strong stimulating action on the proliferation of immune competent lymphocytes-cells, producing hemolysin. Therefore the stimulating effect of leucogen was not limited only to its action on peripheral leucocytes, but also on the number of cells, forming antibodies.

[Effect of beta-adrenergic drugs on humoral immune response factors].

The authors examined the influence of beta-adrenergic stimulators Isoprenaline and Salbutamol as well as beta-adrenergic blockers Propranolol, Practolol and Pindolol on the proliferation of cells, forming plaques, 7S-immunoglobulins, hemagglutination titres and hemolytic activity of the complement. Primary stimulation with subsequent inhibition was induced by beta-adrenergic agonists and inhibition--by beta blocker Propronanol in a base of 10 mg/kg on the proliferation of cells, forming antibodies. The results were in correlation with hemagglutination titres. Salbutamol and beta-blockers inhibited immune hemolysis. The mechanisms of the observed effect are discussed in respect to the specific and nonspecific effect of the drugs used.

[Effect of beta-adrenergic blockers on complement].

The authors, examined the effect of beta-adrenergic blockers Propranolol, Pindolol, Practonol and P11 on complement in the serum of guinea pigs after continuous administration. The follow-up was made dynamicaly: on the 10th, 20th and 30th day. There was a considerable lowering of the complement level on the 20th and 30th day in all animals treated with beta-adrenergic blockers. The experiments in vitro showed that the effect of Propranolol and and P11 on the serum of persons, guinea pigs and rabbits presented data on the complement inhibition, having the direct effect on the first component of the complementary systems.
