[The restoration of the sensitive function of the nerves in replanted upper extremities].

The investigation of both dynamics and peculiarities of restoration of sensitive functions of radial, ulnar and median nerves was performed in terms of dependence upon the time after trauma in 76 patients which underwent replantation of large upper limbs' segments associated with traumatic amputation. Some delay behind was revealed in restoration of ulnar nerve's sensitive function during the second and the third half-years after operation as compared with radial and median nerves' functions. These differences disappeared one and a half-two years after trauma. It is necessary to take this into consideration. In of rehabilitation on the patients either with new traumas or after replantation of large segments of upper limbs.

[Sensory disorders in patients with replanted upper extremities].

A study was made of the clinical characteristics and the dynamics of the recovery of different type sensitivity in 87 patients who had undergone replantation of amputated large segments of the upper limbs. No differences were revealed in the dynamics of the recovery of painful and tactile sensations. During the first year after trauma, the articular muscular sensation outstripped the painful and tactile ones. Investigation of discrimination sensitivity acquires significance only half a year after trauma, namely after the recovery of the painful sensitivity. The choice of the methods and scope of investigation of sensitivity should be made with regard to the period of the recovery of nervous function of the replanted limb and the time that elapsed after trauma.

[Clinico-electromyographic evaluation of the state of motor units of the hand muscles replanted after traumatic amputation].

Needle electromyography was used to study motor units of the muscles leading away the thumb and little finger, replanted after traumatic amputation of the large segment of the upper limb in 34 patients. A direct relationship was discovered between the time of the appearance of action potentials of motor units (PMU), recovery of the movements, and trauma level. The appearance of clear PMU associated with movement recovery was recorded not earlier than 6-7 months after trauma. Analysis of PMU is a reliable criterion for the recovery of the own movements of the muscles and function of the neuromotor apparatus in patients with the replanted upper limb segment.

[Comparative evaluation of the diagnostic possibilities of radioisotope angiography and rheoencephalography in patients with vascular diseases of the brain].

Forty-one patients with dyscirculatory encephalopathy complicated by a transient impairment of the cerebral circulation were examined in a neurological department. A comparative analysis of the findings obtained during comprehensive study of the cerebral circulation showed that in the overwhelming majority of cases (37 out of 41), the results of isotope angiography and rheography coincided and corresponded to the clinical findings. To a certain degree these methods complemented each other: rheoencephalography was more informative in the diagnosis of cerebral atherosclerosis and essential hypertension while radioisotope angiography allowed a more accurate determination of the area affected.

[Use of the psychophysiological complex PFK-01 in patients after replantation of the segment of the upper extremity].

The use of the psychophysiological complex PFK-01 permits the psychoemotional status to be examined in patients who underwent replantation of a segment of the upper limb after traumatic amputation. The method makes it possible to establish what kind of the psychic stage, tension or depression, is experienced by the examined patient. The data obtained can be used by the treating physician or by the psychotherapist in a complex of rehabilitation measures for goal-oriented psychotherapeutic correction of patients.

[Electrode mask for rheofaciography].

A device permitting simultaneous fastening of such number of transducers which are required for investigation of any point on the face, and allowing for individual features of the facial scalp construction has been produced to make the rheoficiography procedure more perfect. The device prevents the face tissues pressing, and does not cause unpleasant or painful sensations. Face rheography by means of the proposed device was realized in 56 patients with different diseases of the face nervous system. Investigation performed showed higher quality, lesser time and simplified procedure of rheofaciography with the mask designed.
