Abdominal masses.
In summary, sonography plays an indispensable role in the evaluation of abdominal masses in infants and children. With meticulous scanning one can, in most instances, obtain sufficient information for accurate diagnosis and follow-up evaluation and thereby obviate the need for more invasive studies.
