[Occurrence of arteriovenous fistulas in haemangiomatosis chondrodystrophica (Maffucci syndrome)].
The case of a 17-year old girl suffering from Maffucci's syndrome is reported. This syndrome consists of haemangiomas and osteochondromas which appear locally and then become generalized. The disease leads to severe orthopaedic and cosmetic disorders. The appearance of mesenchymal tumours has been documented in 20% of the investigated cases. The development of haemodynamic arteriovenous shunts in the area of the left lower limb was a particular characteristic in our patient. The shunt volume has 81%.
