Genetic determinants of efficiency of magnetic laser therapy of essential hypertension.

The efficiency of magnetic laser therapy was evaluated in patients with essential hypertension (stages I and II). The role of angiotensinogen, angiotensin-converting enzyme, type II bradykinin receptor, and endothelial nitrogen oxide synthetase gene polymorphism in the realization of hypotensive effect of magnetic laser therapy was evaluated. The hypotensive effect of magnetic laser therapy depends on the polymorphism of the studied genes and is maximum in patients with MM polymorphism of angiotensinogen gene and DD polymorphism of angiotensin-converting enzyme gene. Additive interaction between angiotensin-converting enzyme and angiotensinogen genes in the formation of hemodynamic effects of magnetic laser therapy was detected.

[Role of cyclic nucleotides in carotid chemoreception].

The activation of the metabolic systems of rat carotid body under the influence of alkaloids and acids was studied by spectrofluorimetric technique. It has been demonstrated the growth of the cAMR levels being suggested to the role of messenger between chemical stimuli and the flows of glomus cells metabolism. Chemical substances of other types (such as acetylcholine, NaCl saccharose) don't provide any changes of cell respiration and concentration of cAMP in carotid cells. The data obtained provide the evidence of heterogeneity of glomus cella reception mechanisms of the qualitatively different chemical substances. It supports the hypothesis on the heterogeneity of chemoreception for mammals.

[Participation of calcium ions in carotid chemoreception].

The changes in calcium accumulation ability of glomus cells membranes under the action of alkaloids, acids and effector stimuli have been studied by fluorimetric chelate probe technique. The reception of these stimuli causes calcium-ions release mainly from the intracellular organoids membranes (mitochondrial and endoplasmatic). These data suggest that calcium-ions act as a messenger between extracellular stimuli and the metabolism of glomus cells. Results obtained provide the evidence of heterogeneity of carotid chemoreception mechanism.

[Participation of metabolic systems of carotid chemoreceptors in their effector regulation].

Electrical stimulation of the rat sinus nerve altered fluorescence of restored pyridin nucleotides and oxidative flavoproteids in the carotid body cells due to enhancement of cellular respiration. This was followed by an increase of cGMP content in the carotid body. The greatest shifts of these parameters occurred in square-wave stimulation with 20/sec frequency. The effector influences on the carotid body metabolism are most effectively blocked with pentamine and seem to be of cholinergic nature, the transmitter effect of acetylcholine being modulated with enkephalins. The cGMP system may serve as an intermediary of the effector influences.

[Multilevel magnetic and electrical stimulation in the combined treatment of neurosurgical patients].

The program of rehabilitation of neurosurgical patients with effective physical methods (multilayer magnetic and electric stimulation, scanning laser therapy, QHF therapy) has been used in 265 patients with functional disorders because of nervous affection. The program reduced the treatment duration and improved the quality of treatment of neurosurgical patients.
