In the study population for this report, 22 percent of all primary canines examined (in fifty-five children) had a hypoplastic area. Approximately 45 percent of the patients had at least one tooth so involved.

A twelve-year old Mobius syndrome patient was successfully examined as an outpatient, using patience, tactile desensitization, and cooperative interaction. Restoration of carious teeth was accomplished, using general anesthesia. Behavioral intervention was successful, thus avoiding an unnecessary hospitalization for examination only.
