The sexual activity was studied in 28 males and 18 females, one year after abdominoperineal resection for low rectal carcinoma, using a questionnaire. Sexual desire, potentia coeundi and ejaculation, capacity for orgasm and sexual satisfaction in the male, and sexual desire, possibility of vaginal coitus, dyspareunia, orgasm capacity and sexual satisfaction in the female were analyzed. Among the female patients (18 cases), sexual desire was judged to be decreased in 77.77% (15 cases) and decreased capacity for orgasm occurred in 5.5% (1 case). Loss of sexual satisfaction and dyspareunia were present in 44.4% (8 cases) and 33.6% (6 cases) respectively. Among the male patients (28 cases), sexual desire decreased in 75% (21 cases), incomplete erection but sufficient for copulation occurred in 17.85% (5 cases), such as retrograde ejaculation in 10.71% (3 cases) and no ejaculation in 7.14% (2 cases) and impotentia coeundi in 25% (7 cases). In couples that reported a satisfying sexual activity, the first coitus occurred 6 months after surgery (range: 4 to 15 months). In no case was there separation of the couple after surgery.
Two cases of "Keratoderma palmaris et plantaris symmetric leprous" are described, which rarely occur in the field of acrokeratosis, contracted by infection.

The authors report their experience of 11 cases of hemoperitoneum due to hemorrhagic endoabdominal neoformation, diagnosed through laparoscopy, and the diagnosis of which was confirmed by the biopsy under the sight. They describe the casuistry observed: 4 hepatic neoplasms (11,9%); 4 ovary neoplasmus (12,1%); 1 neuroblastoma (10%); 2 ovary endometriosic cysts (16,6%). They, at last, emphasize the usefulness of laparoscopy as an investigating mean offering a sure diagnostical reliability.
The authors shortly illustrate the etiopathogenesis, symptomatology, diagnosis, complications and treatment of liver blunt trauma. They describe their experience of 33 hepatic lesions out of 210 abdominal blunt trauma with a 12,1% mortality, and emphasize the usefulness of the laparoscopic investigation in the precocious diagnosis of such disease.
Gall-bladder papilloma, although rare to be found, should be considered as a precancerous lesion, the sole treatment of which is the surgical one. The authors, starting from three cases of such pathology, they had the opportunity to observe, deal with histogenesis, symptomatology and treatment of such disease, and indicate the possibility for a careful diagnosis through the modern diagnostical means.

They describe their experience about 4 cases (1,94%) of pancreatic trauma out of 210 abdominal blunt trauma. They, moreover, emphasize the usefulness of laparoscopy as an investigating mean offering a sure diagnostical reliability.

The authors report their experience with graded-pressure elastic hose (TED Stockings) for the prevention of deep venous thrombosis of the lower limbs and pulmonary embolism in high-risk, bedridden postoperative patients. The trial was designed according to a closed sequential program and gave positive, statistically significant results in terms of preventing pathology with this type of hose.
