[Familial long QT interval and sudden death (author's transl)].

A family in whom two brothers, a sister and the father presented a long QT interval is reported. The father died suddenly at the age of 37. The opportunity of a more careful research of the syndrome, now underdiagnosed, is underlined in view of the curability such disease.

[The diagnosis of myocardial infarction in the presence of disorders of ventricular activation for right endoventricular pacing and left bundle branch block (author's transl)].

The Authors have studied the vectocardiogram in left bundle branch block, right endoventricular pacing, myocardial infarction and right endoventricular pacing, myocardial infarction and left bundle branch block. Vectocardiographic loop analysis allows the diagnosis of myocardial infarction both in the presence of endoventricular pacing and in the presence of left bundle branch block.

Two cases of glomus tumour treated by unusual embolization.

Two cases of glomus tumour treated by the catheterization technique are reported. In the first case, after it was found impossible to catheterize the external carotid artery by the femoral route, the external carotid was punctured directly, became spasmodic and the catheter could not be introduced, so the inner wall of the external carotid was eroded by manipulating the tip of the metallic guide. This resulted in complete occlusion of the artery 1 cm above the bifurcation of the common carotid. The second case was first treated by embolization of the ascending pharyngeal artery, but with only transitory improvement, so, after 2 months, additional embolization was performed via the vertebral artery, which was followed by immediate and lasting improvement.
