Contraceptive coverage grows, but significant challenges remain.
Coverage for women's health care in general, and contraception in particular, is included in most health insurance plans. Twenty-one states mandate equal coverage between men and women, but not all Food and Drug Administration-approved approaches are reimbursed. In addition, some employers opt out, despite landmark rulings.
