[Tubal factors as possible causes of sterility or infertility of primigravidae, following therapeutic abortion (author's transl)].

A screening test was applied to 136 primigravidae, between six months and one year following therapeutic abortion, to check tubal patency, using pertubation, according to Semm. --The methodical errors involved were compared and checked by laparoscopy with chromopertubation. --Reference is made to effects of age at the time of abortion, week of pregnancy, and technique of abortion. --Complete tubal occlusion, as a secondary cause of secondary sterility in the wake of therapeutic abortion, was recorded from 2.96 per cent of the above primigravidae. The rate of tubal infertility (tubal abortion or extra-uterine gravidity) was not significantly increased beyond the figures of other patients (0.96 per cent of all primigravidae, following therapeutic abortion). --Derived from the above results are recommendations for techniques of abortion which should be used on primigravidae.

[Effect of abortion on subsequent fertility with special reference to the abortion process].

UNLABELLED: The influence of a first gravida's legal abortion to the later reproduction was researched on 406 patients in the age between 13 up to 18 years-- RESULT: The rate of abortion and premature birth is significantly increased at subsequent pregnancies when there took place an interruption of the first gravidity.--About 70% of the coming gravidities following an interruption of the first gravidity deliver in the time between 37. up to 39. week of pregnancy.--Premature births having a birth weight below 2500 g are found in 10,17% of the cases compared with a control group showing 5,45%.

[Clinical results of two-time abortion technics with special regard to ascending genital infections].

If risk of the one-time mechanical dilatation will be too high (with young first gravidae and progressed pregnancy) the methods of the two-time interruptio should be applied. As long as there will not be available sufficient quantities of Prostaglandin-analoga the present method of choice is the abort-induction by means of the extra-amnial application of Prostaglandin F2alpha. In 101 cases when extra-amnial Pg F2alpha with an average induction time of four hours, the contamination rate was checked and no danger of ascension appeared. If prostaglandines will not be available, metranoicter or laminarias should be applied in the first trimenon when there is a high risk of dilatation, in the second trimenon extra-amnial instillation methods should be used. In both the cases only can be spoken of interruptios low if risks of they are made up under guard of broad spectrum antibiotics--after negative proof of blastomyces (buddings). This recommendation results from microbiological researches made up with 423 patients under the aspect of possible hospital infections. With induction times longer than 18 hours, the cavum uteri proved accelerating contaminated microbially. There were found microbes in the cavum uteri respectively at laminarias and metranoicters of, enterobacteria (45,7%), staphylococci (24,7%), hemolyzing and anhemolytic streptococci (17,6%), enterococci (8,0%), Corynebacteria (3,0%) and blastomyces (buddings) (1,0%).

[Epidemiology of cervix carcinoma in pregnancy].

It is reported about the prevalence-rate of the precancerous and invasive cancers ofthe cervix uteri with 22,450 pregnant women at the age-groups from the 13th to 48th year, which are registrated by help of the cytological and expanded colposcopical examination from 1968 to 1974. There were found 57 heavy dysplasies (= 0,25%; sp = +/- 0,133), 42 carcinomas in situ (0,18%; sp = +/- 0,113) and 12 invasive cancers of the cervix uteri (= 0,053%; sp = +/- 0,061). It seems to be, that the prevalence-rate of the precancerous and cancers of the cervix uteri is the same at pregnant and non-pregnant women in the generative age.
