[Development of preventive courses for parents in a socialist society].

After discussing the most important of the known parent training techniques the article draws attention to their innovatory value in connection with parent training work in socialist society. The basic purpose of such prophylactic parent courses and the methodological principles upon which they may be developed and organized are considered. Attention is finally drawn to the limits imposed by the dialectics of personality development on the success of such courses.

[Methods of research on group therapy].

In the field of what is known as group talk therapy it is rather difficult, but absolutely necessary to do more than merely discuss various concepts and make occasional observations. The possible methods described include the "pre" and "post" systems of principles, practices, and procedures; the reference group method; the method of investigating process variables; and the analog experimental method. Examples are given for each of the above methods. It is evident from a number of theoretical designs that major achievements will finally come from a suitable combination of different methods of research.

[Aspects of the psychology of the terminal stage of life].

Six person-centered and six social-network-centered constructs are discussed in order to describe aspects of the terminal time of life: age attitude, death concept, surviving motivation, coping style, partner relatedness, experience of dying; degree of connection, bearing power, taking over, life-end-communication, dying accompany, mourning work. A life span theory of change in activity and social functions stands in the background.
