Medication patterns--cause for interprofessional liaison.
Two recent surveys, one by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the other by the Victorian College of Pharmacy in conjunction with the Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research, cast light on prevailing medication patterns. These surveys, for the first time, indicate not only patterns and trends in the taking of prescribed medicines, but also in the taking of pharmacist controlled non-prescribed medicines and open selling medicines.
