[Report of experiences with ambulatory cytostatic chemotherapy in germinal testicular tumors and metastasizing renal carcinomas].

Today, the cytostatic chemotherapy is a firm constituent in the treatment plan of the germinal tumours of the testicles. In metastasizing renal carcinomas the attempt of treatment seems to be justified. The chemotherapy must be performed as a combined chemotherapy in interval during at least two years. From this result various problems for the patient as well as for the treating clinic. The patients often take an unreasonable attitude to the repeated long-term hospital treatment. Here, the ambulatory chemotherapy, at first carried out in consequences of a certain emergency situation, is a true alternative. After an experience of two years with this method we may recommend the ambulatory cytostatic chemotherapy. The rates of remission correspond to those of hospital cures, where the wellbeing of the patients wtih ambulatory therapy must be emphasized.

[Study of the disinfectant action of lubricants in transurethral electroresection].

The result of our examinations was that instillagel has a desinfecting effect in the urethra. This result is mathematically secured by means of the 2 I-test and highly significant. 95% of the preoperatively infected urethras were germ-free immediately after operation. This effect could not be proved in nifucin-gel-medicain as well as in urocomb. Using these lubricants all preoperatively infected urethras were also infected immediately after operation.

[Qualitative changes in plasma fibrinogen in irradiated rabbits].

Plasma fibrinogens of sublethally irradiated rabbits (8 Gy X-ray irradiation) were isolated by affinity chromatography on fibrin monomer Sepharose and characterised by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis with sodium dodecylsulfate before and after reduction with 2-mercaptoethanol. Only a small increase of fibrinogen degradation was mainly observed in early phases after irradiation. Fibrin monomer complexes were precipitated together with fibrinogen by 2,5 mol beta-alanine/l. The content of monomer complexes in the precipitate was estimated using Sepharose 6B gel chromatography. Evidence for an increased formation of monomers in the blood could not be obtained. Therefore, proteolytic changes of fibrinogen do not play a role for inducing a hemorrhagic disorder after sublethal X-ray irradiation in rabbits.

[Optical internal urethrotomy - a report of experiences].

In its results the cold urethrotomy under vision after Sachse corresponds to those of the open surgical methods. Main indication are the short strictures and the strictures of the urethra in old men. In 75 urethrotomies of 68 patients our coefficient of success was 89%. Postoperatively the patients received a fenestrated in-dwelling catheter 14-16 Charr. for 3-4 days. The instillation into the urethra was performed twice a day for 4 weeks. The hydraulic bouginage was aspired to for a period of 12 weeks. It was referred to the possibility of an acute urethrotomy.

Experiences based on the classification of bladder tumours according to the TNM system.

Since 1967 we employ the TNM system of the UICC for the classification of bladder tumours. Cystography, pelvic arteriography and lymphography were carried out for the classification. 393 patients were examined by means of the X-ray methods. 323 patients were classified according to the TNM system. The 'P' stage was stated in 134 patients. This group of patients enabled a control of the pre-therapeutical classification. We found extensive conformity between pre-operative and post-operative diagnoses. The methods of classification tested by us allow an exact diagnosis.
