[Music therapy in psychiatric clinics. Questionnaire study on utilization and realization].
A questionnaire administered in all German psychiatric hospitals and wards (n = 328) showed that the majority of the hospitals provide the patients with psychotherapeutic music therapy. It is mainly carried out by a qualified music therapy staff. Conclusions are based on the outer form (instrumentation, structured/free improvization) and therapeutic content such as the perspective of music therapeutic application.
