Oligodendroglioma, usually found in the cerebral hemispheres may invade the ventricles, however primary intraventricular oligodendroglioma is quite uncommon with only a limited number of cases reported in the literature. A 39-year-old woman harbouring a primary oligodendroglioma of the left lateral ventricle was treated by subtotal removal of the tumour through a left frontal transcortical transventricular approach. The clinical, radiological and surgical details of the case are presented in correlation with the current data on oligodendrogliomas. Benefits of postoperative irradiation are stressed.

Congenital arteriovenous communications involving the external carotid artery and the jugular vein(s) are exceptionally rare. We report two cases of congenital external carotid-jugular fistulae with clinical, radiological, and surgical features and a review of the literature. The prospects of endovascular treatment and the limits of surgery are discussed.
Nine cases of posterior fossa chordomas are presented. The clinical features, treatment, and outcomes are discussed. Two patients underwent transoral surgery. Advantages and disadvantages of this approach are discussed and related to the recent literature.
We report a case of extradural haematoma occurring after extradural anaesthesia in an anticoagulated patient. The diagnosis was confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging and the haematoma was evacuated surgically. A search of the literature revealed only five previous reports of extradural haematoma in association with extradural anaesthesia.
