[Endocrine disturbances in circumscribed scleroderma].

AIM: To evaluate prevalence of endocrine pathology in patients with circumscribed scleroderma (CS), baseline immunopathological alterations in CS patients. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Circulating immune complexes were studied by the Digeon method in a total of 70 CS patients (female 52, 74.3%; male 18, 25.7%; age 16 to 70 years). RESULTS: Circulating immune complexes assay by Digeon detected evident immune imbalance characteristic for metabolic disturbances of the connective tissue and affection of the endocrine system. CONCLUSION: CS patients need a combined examination including endocrinological and immunological tests.

[Lupus erythematosus: effects of different therapeutic methods on intranuclear characteristics of lymphoid cells].

In lymphocytes of peripheral blood from 46 patients with various forms of lupus erythematosus measurements were made of histone fractions and DNA. It is proved that intranuclear characteristics of lymphoid cells can be used in the choice of treatment and assessment of its efficacy. Lupus erythematosus treatment with glucocorticoids (diprospan, diprospan + celeston) is effective in correction of intranuclear lymphocyte changes in this disease.

[The use of a pulsed magnetic field in the treatment of lupus erythematosus].

The authors review literature data on application of impulsed magnetic field (IMF) in clinical practice. IMF introduction in LE treatment is thought beneficial because IMF antiinflammatory, analgetic effects, positive action on microcirculation, immunological reactivity, the ability to upgrade the effect of combined therapy. The trends observed in the clinical and laboratory indices allowed the authors to recommend IMF for wide application in LE.

[Dipromonium in the treatment of scleroderma patients].

Basing on the literature data on dipromonium biochemical and pharmacologic characteristics and on her own experience, the author has developed the treatment schemes with due consideration for scleroderma severity. The treatment has been associated with a reduction of glycosaminoglycan excretion with the urine, this correlating with the clinical improvement resultant from dipromonium therapy.

[The different clinical variants of scleroderma in diabetics].

The course of scleroderma is compared in patients with and without diabetes mellitus. In combined pathology, bullous foci of injury and trophic abnormalities occur more frequently. All the patients were diagnosed to have abnormalities on the part of connective tissue metabolism.
