[The clinico-morphological parallels in diffuse connective tissue diseases].

The authors present an investigation of the clinical and morphological signs and symptoms of diffuse diseases of the connective tissue in 27 of 50 examined patients. For verification of connective tissue disease it is recommended to carry out early histological examination of the biopsy specimens. The biopsy material should be adequately taken with consideration of the area and depth of involved tissue.

[A comparison of the morphological indices of disorders of lymph dynamics and the functional indices of the lungs in patients with tuberculosis and bronchogenic cancer].

A comparative analysis was made with regard to histologic examination findings of the external respiration function indices in 156 patients with cancer and newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis. The given analysis has demonstrated that as compared with pulmonary tuberculosis patients the external respiration function was more disturbed in subjects with a tumor process. This observation mainly concerned the persons with central cancer at the age below 50 and whose ventilation disturbances mostly had an obstructive nature caused by both endobronchial growth of the tumor and a mechanical underflow of the lymph. Lymphodynamic disturbances in the case of cancer were more evident than in tuberculosis.

[Antibacterial sutures "Capromed DQ" in abdominal surgery].

In the work, the experimental substantiation and results of clinical approbation++ of the new Capromed DC antibacterial polymeric threads are given. It was established that the threads had no negative effect on reparative processes, created local concentration of an antiseptic, reduced the inflammatory reaction and microbial colonization. This contributed to decrease in the incidence of postoperative complications related to the quality of a suture material.

[Antibacterial threads in surgery of the lungs].

Antibacterial threads "Kapromed DKh" were used in experiments and clinic for the formation of lung sutures in combination with the antimicrobial film ESBADKh with the cyanacrylate glue. The application of polymers exerts a positive effect upon the regeneration of the lung wound and reduces the frequency of postoperative complications associated with the disturbed hermetic property of the suture and the development of the inflammatory process.

[Structural interrelations of the air-blood barrier and terminal sections of the lymphatic link in the pulmonary microcirculatory bed in chronic hypervolemia].

The interalveolar septa of the human lungs are known to have no lymphatic capillaries. The topography of the pulmonary lymphatic system origin under conditions of chronic hypervolemia is still not investigated. Lungs of 24 corpses of persons, died from non-pulmonary pathology (control) and lungs of 34 corpses of persons, died from congenital and acquired heart disease accompanied with pre- and postcapillary forms of the pulmonary circulation hypertension, have been investigated. Decreased efficiency of the microcirculation, increased permeability of the blood capillary walls against the background of hypoxia result in an elevated production of lymph. Intensified collagen formation in the blood vessel walls and in the interalveolar septa is the prerequisite for reorganization of the pulmonary lymphatic bed. Lymphatic capillaries are found to grow into some sclerotic interalveolar septa and into deep structures of the blood capillary walls. This demonstrates a high plasticity of the lymphatic link terminal parts of the microcirculatory bed in pathologically changed lungs.
