Criteria for determining medical practice management skills requirements: a case study.
Faced with the responsibility of filling a management void, the group could not reach a consensus as to what level of manager to recruit. While some physicians felt that the vacancy should be filled with an office manager-type individual (possibly promoting from within), others felt that the scope of lay management should be expanded.
