A computer-based on-line real-time subtraction technique for minimization of EKG artifact in clinical EEG recordings, especially those employing a non-cephalic reference, is described.
A simple computer-generated dot-density topogram for depicting localized EEG abnormalities, and which can supplement the conventional EEG report, is described. The display technique permits direct visual comparison with other diagnostic topographic displays such as the CT (computerized tomography) scan.
