A 62-year-old man developed a malignant melanoma in his left eye that had been blind due to trauma for 35 years. This case illustrates the difficulties in detection and early diagnosis of occult malignant melanoma of the uveal tract in phthistic globes. The necessity for long-term follow-up of posttraumatic eyes is stressed.
A 70-year-old black man was found to have primary hyperparathyroidism due to an oxyphil cell adenoma. Ultrastructural studies were essential in elucidating the cell type of the tumor. The morphologic findings in relation to the clinical findings and a brief review of the literature are discussed.

We have described a 58-year-old man in whom an unusually fibroblastic ureteritis cystica at the ureteropelvic junction caused partial obstruction and ureteral colic. Local resection resulted in relief of renal pain and improved urinary flow through the ureter. Explanations for the unusual nature of the lesion and only partial relief of obstruction after surgical resection are proposed.
