[Experimental reflex ovulation].

The effect of mating on ovulation and follicular maturation along the ovarian cycles were studied in the rat. The number and size of follicles and the number of ovules in the Fallopian tube were estimated. When the copulation took place between 16 hour of the diestrus and 16 hour of the proestrus phase, a significant increase in the number of large follicles and total follicles was found on the other hand, between 10 hour of the proestrus and 10 hour of the estrus phase, the number of ovules, small follicles and total follicles increased significantly. Thus, the copulation appeared to facilitate the follicular development and ovulation.

[Antitussive effect of amphetamine].

The effect of the amphetamine in coughing by trachial excitation and the delay of respiration by laryngial excitation is studied in experimental investigations in dogs, a very significant decrease of the two responses is produced in the dosis of 1 mg/kg.

[Experimental visual evoked potentials. Interstimuli interval and cortical excitability].

The excitability of the visual system was studied in ten adult chronic cats. Visual evoked potentials were recorded, using decreasing interstimulus intervals. A decrease of the excitability of the visual system is observed when interstimulus intervals are less than 800 milliseconds. Clinical applications with regard to visual evoked potential recording on comatose patients are suggested.

[Laryngeal apnea].

The apneic laryngeal chemoreflex (QRL), elicited by water on the vocal cords and the reflex by mechanical stimulation (MRL) has been compared in dog. The response decrease with naloxone at a 400 micrograms.kg-1, suggesting that the reflex inhibition depends on endogenous opioids of the respiratory centre.
