We report a case of polyarteritis nodosa initially presenting as acute orchitis and review 4 similar reports in the literature. Of the cases 2 were diagnosed preoperatively. In 2 cases in which immunological markers were measured abnormal values were obtained. All 5 cases required biopsy for diagnosis.

We report a case of osteitis pubis complicating transrectal needle biopsy of the prostate. This case best supports direct trauma to the symphysis pubis as an etiology. A literature review of osteitis pubis is presented.
A 35-year-old man with the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome-related complex was evaluated for a persistent urethral discharge, pneumaturia and watery diarrhea. Radiographic and endoscopic procedures established the diagnosis of a rectourethral fistula. Perineal exploration and excision of the fistula revealed the pathological diagnosis of Kaposi's sarcoma. The differential diagnosis of an acquired rectourethral fistula and the significance of Kaposi's sarcoma are discussed.
