Neonatal pleural empyema with group A Streptococcus.

A case of early neonatal septicaemia with pneumonia and pleural empyema is reported. The causal microorganism was beta-haemolytic Streptococcus pyogenes group A originating from the mother, who had a perineal infection and bacteraemia.

[Malignant melanoma with ovarian metastases].

The incidence of cutaneous malignant melanoma is increasing. The behaviour of the spread is unpredictable. The case report of a woman with cutaneous malignant melanoma which spread to the ovaries is presented.
