[Documentation of psychological findings in a specialized psychiatric hospital].

The authors discuss difficulties encountered in the present practice of documentation of psychological findings under the aspect of a psychiatric hospital. They draw the conclusion that the hitherto employed practice does not ensure economy and standardisation conditions and that the degree of subjectivity in the documentation of psychological findings is often too high. After a trial period of one year, the authors submit the experiences they have gained in the documentation of the clinical-psychological findings.

[Communication training in the system of dynamic group psychotherapy].

With respect to the dynamic group psychotherapy the authors draw the conclusion that the imparting of specific sociopsychological knowledge on the basis of a communication training is important for a successful treatment of the patient. After determination of the theoretical standpoint, five tasks of the communication training are discussed which essentially represent a unity of rational-cognitive and action-oriented elements and have proved useful in the group-therapeutic system.

[Negative effects of psychotherapy].

In evaluation of their own considerations with respect to the problem cases in psychotherapy and on the basis of a critical discussion of the literature, the authors analyse causes and forms of the phenomena of so-called negative effects in psychotherapy. They answer the question of the existence of negative effects in the affirmative and draw the conclusion that negative therapy results are due to problems of indication, the degree of the social involvement, the measurement of the changes and the research methods as well as to problems of the personality of the therapists and patients. The following negative effects are dealt with in detail: Aggravation of symptoms, occurrence of new symptoms and process-conditioned false interventions.
