Resummed QCD power corrections to nuclear shadowing.

We calculate and resum a perturbative expansion of nuclear enhanced power corrections to the structure functions measured in deeply inelastic scattering of leptons on a nuclear target. Our results for the Bjorken x, Q2 and A dependence of nuclear shadowing in F2A(x,Q2) and the nuclear modification to FAL(x,Q2), obtained in terms of the QCD factorization approach, are consistent with the existing data. We demonstrate that the low Q2 behavior of these data and the measured large longitudinal structure function point to a critical role for the power corrections when compared to other theoretical approaches.

Differential cross sections for Higgs boson production at tevatron collider energies.

The transverse momentum Q(T) distribution is computed for inclusive Higgs boson production at sqrt[S]=1.96 TeV. We include all-orders resummation of large logarithms associated with emission of soft gluons at small Q(T). We provide results for Higgs boson and Z* masses from M(Z) to 200 GeV. The relatively hard transverse momentum distribution for Higgs boson production suggests possibilities for improvement of the signal to background ratio.

J/psi suppression in nucleus-nucleus collisions.

We propose a model for calculating J/psi suppression in high-energy hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions. We factorized the process into a production of the cc- pairs convoluted with a transition probability into the observed J/psi mesons. As the produced cc- pairs exit the nuclear matter, multiple scattering increases the square of the relative momentum between the c and c- such that some pairs are transmuted into open charm states. With only one parameter, the energy gained by the produced cc- pair per unit length in the nuclear medium, our model can fit all observed J/psi suppression data in hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions.
