[Osseous metaplasia of renal medulla (author's transl)].

Bone formation in renal medulla arises from papillary necrosis and is observed almost exclusively following chronic pyelonephritis and chronic interstitial nephritis. Since papillary necrosis occurs in the early stage of chronic interstitial nephritis, this kind of osseous metaplasia has specific diagnostic significance. By means of a case report formal pathogenesis, experimental basis, clinical diagnostic considerations and prognosis of the bone formation in renal medullary parenchyma are discussed.

[Development of tumors as the 1st manifestation of acute leukemia].

The acute Myeloblastosis in adults which forms tumours, is one of the very rare forms of this disease. The unusual development of the disease, the last appearance of characteristic symptoms and difficulties in forming a histological diagnosis usually makes it very difficult to diagnose this disease in sufficient time. On the basis of a 44 year old patient's course of disease, the clinical difficulties and the pathological-anatomical diagnosis of an acute Myeloblastosis that formed tumours, are discussed.

[Inverted urothelial papilloma (author's transl)].

Casuistic report dealing with the observation of an inverted papilloma arising from the pars prostatica urethrae. By means of the literature, clinical and pathologic problems of this scarcely known neoplasm, which was not delimitated in the German literature before 1963, are discussed.
