Preparing a clinical activities database in plastic surgery using existing information systems.
The collection of data for audit and clinical activity analysis is time consuming. This report outlines a technique by which data held on hospital data systems, such as the PAS and theatre management systems, can be made available to clinical investigators. The saving in time and effort can be enormous.
