[Diagnosis and treatment of respiratory tract burns].

The work gives an analysis of clinical signs in 111 patients with burns of the respiratory tract. Two complexes of curative measures are proposed according to anatomical changes found in fibrobronchoscopy. The fibrobronchoscopies are of special importance in the treatment of burns of the tracheobronchial tree.

[State of tissue microcirculation in burns of the hand].

A radioisotope method was applied for investigation of 50 cases divided into three groups according to the depth of the burn. It has been found that this method of investigation of microcirculation in hand burns cases is a valuable diagnostic test allowing to find out disorders of the capillary circulation and to trace the dynamics of its restoration.

[Lysozyme in the overall therapy of patients with burn trauma].

Examination of 108 patients showed that burn disease was accompanied by significant impairments in the host natural resistance. Inclusion of intramuscular administrations of crystalline lysozyme into the complex therapy of such patients during septicotoxemia provided an increase in the factors of humoral and cell immunity. In most of the cases the dynamics of the indices of the host immunological reactivity correlated with the character of the clinical signs of the burn disease. The positive effect of lysozyme was evident in the cases with severe complications such as pneumonia, bacteriemia and burns of the upper respiratory organs.
