Pulmonary hemorrhage following intravenous streptokinase for acute myocardial infarction.
A 50-year-old man was given 1.2 million units of intravenous streptokinase 3 hours after the onset of a hyperacute inferior myocardial infarction. He had been treated for pneumonia 4 weeks previously. Five days after thrombolytic therapy, he developed a massive hemoptysis. The implications of this side effect are discussed.

Pulmonary arterial aneurysms in Marfan's syndrome.
We report the case of a 23-year-old man with Marfan's syndrome and saccular aneurysms of the pulmonary arteries. The importance and possible complications of this finding are discussed.
Apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. A case report.
The clinical, ECG and angiographic features of apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in a 24-year-old white man are reported. Only 4 non-Oriental cases have so far been described and the present case is the second from South Africa. Attention is drawn to the possibility that there are two distinct types of apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Carcino-embryonic antigen in hepatocellular carcinoma. Report of a patient with very high serum concentrations.
Serum carcino-embryonic antigen (CEA) concentrations are frequently raised in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, but the degree of elevation is slight or moderate. In contrast, patients with hepatic metastases from colonic carcinomas and various other entodermal and non-entodermal tumours have very high serum values. This difference may be useful in the differential diagnosis between primary and metastatic liver carcinomas. However, exceptions do occur, as shown by the present report of a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma who had a serum CEA concentration of 1,600 ng/ml.
