[Biological age estimation using echocardiography].

The indices of echocardiography have been estimated in 118 persons at the age of 20-89. Test-programs have been created and the method of biological age determination by echocardiography (ECHO-CG) has been elaborated. We found that there are three subpopulations in each age group people with slowing-down, mean and accelerated age changes rate. The proposed method of biological age determination includes standard generally established indices of echocardiography.

[Congenital (hereditary) long QT syndrome: possible factors predisposing to development of ventricular tachyarrhythmias. Part II].

In 3 close relatives (mother, son, mother's first cousin) with long Q-T syndrome syncopal attacks were preceded by lowering of ionized calcium in peripheral blood. This mechanism is supposed to be a trigger of ventricular tachycardia in long Q-T syndrome.
