[Liposuction].

Hemostasis was studied in 38 women aged from 24 to 40 years before the liposuction procedure and 2-3 days after it. The results obtained evidence for substantial postoperative hypercoagulation changes with simultaneous inhibition of antithrombine and fibrinolytic activities. Signs of thrombophilic inclination as a result of hematocrite lowering due to hypervolemic hemodilution. It is necessary to control hemostasis before the liposuction procedure. The advantage of hypervolemic hemodilution in prophylaxics of thromboembolic complications is shown. The category of persons of risk has been determined.

[Chronic compensated syndrome of disseminated intravascular coagulation in Sjögren's disease].

The authors have reported the results of investigations of the system of hemostasis in 40 patients with Sjogren's disease (SD) and 30 healthy donors. The SD patients had different disorders of the system of hemostasis resulting in the activation of the coagulative and anticoagulative systems. Chronic compensated DIC syndrome was shown to be present in approximately half of the SD patients. A positive therapeutic effect of prednisolone combined with heparin on chronic DIC syndrome was shown. It was assumed that microcirculatory and blood coagulation disorders could play an important role in a pathological process.

[Activation of fibrinolysis in acute leukemia].

A possibility of life-time fibrinolysis activation with blast cells was studied in 54 patients with different variants of acute leukemia. The study showed that practically in all the variants of acute leukemia the content of fibrinolysis activators in the patients' blood was elevated. Active proteolytic enzymes of non-plasma nature were present in myeloid variants. It was shown that only blast cells of the variants with myeloid tumor substrate were capable of direct fibrinolysis activation.

[The effect of blast cells on blood coagulation in patients with acute leukemia].

The authors studied the effect of blast cells on coagulation of blood in patients with various forms of acute leukemia. It was found that blast cells are capable of producing a hypocoagulation effect on blood coagulation through primary activation of fibrinolysis. This property of blast cells did not depend on the form of acute leukemia.
