[A tear of the retinal pigment epithelium].

Tears of the retinal pigment epithelium is less common complication of RPE ablation. There is a discussion about the pathogenesis and the reasons of the disease's origin. The presence of drusen reflects congenital changes of Bruch's membrane with a tendency to rise the RPE tears after the former detachment. Demonstrated patient before the foundation of a tear was followed up for drusen in maculae bilaterally. There is reported the very characteristical ophthalmoscopic and mainly fluorescein angiographic appearance accompanied with a sudden loss of vision and the foundation of a fibrovascular scar.

[Fluorescein angiography of angioid streaks].

Author observed two patients affected by Pseudoxanthoma elasticum with different extent of alternation on the eye background. The separate states of progression of this eye disease are observed by fluorescein angiography. Beside the finding of angioid streaks fluorescein angiography more precisely demonstrates extent of Bruch membrane abnormalities and alteration of pigmentary epithelium of the retina. This way fluorescein angiography significantly contributes to clarification of other accompanying pathology of this eye disease.

[Dominant infantile optic nerve atrophy].

The authors present an account of a family with an autosomal dominant infantile atrophy of the optic nerve. In three generations two men and three women were affected. With the clinical picture of simple atrophy of the optic nerve with a different degree of expressivity corresponded functional and fluoroangiographic changes. Disorders of colour vision were within the range of deuteroanomaly, deuteroanopia. The proband suffered also from tritanopia. The disease did not call for amaurotic training.
