[Methods of evaluating work capacity rehabilitation of cancer patients].

A program for evaluating measures taken for rehabilitation of radically-treated patients with tumors of the lung, breast, ovary and endometrium is discussed. The study included patients on the cancer register for at least 6-60 months. It was based on the data on type of tumor process, treatment modality and characteristics of health status and working ability before and after therapy. The study used forms for computer evaluation of rehabilitation efficacy and encoder-type instructions for filling them.

[Central hemodynamic characteristics of breast cancer patients following radical treatment].

Integral body rheography was used for evaluating central hemodynamics in breast cancer patients at various stages following radical treatment. A decline in basic parameters was registered within the first 2-3 weeks postmastectomy to be followed by a gradual return to normal. A correlation between blood circulation indexes and hemoglobin values was established. These data should be taken into account when rehabilitation treatment and ability assessment are carried out.

[An experience with the rehabilitation of breast cancer patients after radical treatment].

Breast cancer out-patients rehabilitation may be similarly effective for all tumor localizations provided the peculiarities of primary treatment are considered. Its application opens up new vistas since it ensures an improvement and stabilization of mental and emotional state and reduces anxiety in cancer patients. A course of rehabilitation is followed by the change for better functional indexes and stimulation of interest in taking up an occupation.
