Unexpected ring-opening reactions of aziridines with aldehydes catalyzed by nucleophilic carbenes under aerobic conditions.

[reaction: see text] The chemoselective ring opening of N-tosyl aziridines with aldehydes catalyzed by an N-heterocyclic carbene was investigated under aerobic conditions. Unexpected carboxylates of 1,2-amino alcohols from the corresponding aldehydes, rather than the acyl anion ring-opened beta-amino ketones, were exclusively obtained. A plausible mechanism for this unprecedented carbene-mediated reaction was also proposed.

[Relationship between components changes and efficacy of Shengmaisan VII. Chemical dynamic change of schisandrin in Shengmaisan].

OBJECTIVE: To study the change of schisandrin in Shengmaisan (SMS) and decomposed group. METHOD: The HPLC-UV was used to determine schisandrin in SMS and decomposed group. RESULT: To extract Schisandra chinensis with ginseng, ophiopogon, general ginsenoside or ginsenoside Rg1 could promote the content of schisandrin. CONCLUSION: Saponin is propitious to extracting the schisandrin.

Determination of schizandrin in rat plasma by high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and its application in rat pharmacokinetic studies.

A sensitive liquid chromatography-mass spectrometric (LC/MS) method for the quantification of schizandrin in rat plasma was developed and validated after solid-phase extraction (SPE). Chromatographic separation was achieved on a reversed-phase Shimadzu C(18) column with the mobile phase of acetonitrile-sodium acetate (10 micromol/L) and step gradient elution resulted in a total run time of about 11.7 min. The analytes were detected using an electrospray positive ionization mass spectrometry in the selected ion monitoring (SIM) mode. A good linear relationship was obtained in the concentration range studied (0.005-2.000 microg/mL) (r=0.9999). Lower limit of quantification (LLOQ) was 5 ng/mL and the lower limit of detection (LLOD) was 2 ng/mL using 100 microL plasma sample. Average recoveries ranged from 75.85 to 88.51% in plasma at the concentrations of 0.005, 0.100 and 1.000 microg/mL. Intra- and inter-day relative standard deviations were 5.95-12.93% and 3.87-14.53%, respectively. This method was successfully applied for the pharmacokinetic studies in rats.

[A study on myocardial microcirculation with coronary angiographic impulse response function].

We have established a digital coronary angiograph-analyzing system on the principle of coronary angiographic impulse response, and combined the system with the quantitative coronary analysis (QCA) for investigating the coronary microcirculation (Tmicro(-1)), the minimal stenotic diameter of coronary (MLD) and coronary hemodynamic parameters (mAP, CFV, Rcor) in 20 patients with coronary stenosis. The results showed the minimal stenotic diameter (MLD) and Tmicro(-1) decreased, with the increase of stenosis of proximal coronary. After successful percutaneous coronary intervention treatment, the Tmicro(-1) increased with the increase of MLD and was in linear correlation with MLD (r = 0.87, P < 0.001). In conclusion, The index Tmicro(-1) detected by coronary digital angiographic impulse response analysis system in combination with CFV and QCA would help to evaluate the level of integrated diagnosis of coronary lesion in regard to anatomy and physiology as well as to macro and microcirculation.
