Working with visually impaired children and their families.
This article contains basic information such as definitions and educational options for blind and partially sighted children. Specific suggestions for the pediatrician when working with these youngsters are included. Guidelines for parents to use when making educational decisions and when selecting adaptive technology are presented as well as a list of national organizations serving the visually impaired.
