[The primary malignant non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the stomach].

From 1970 to 1980, 643 patients suffering from a malignancy of the stomach were seen at the Surgical Department of Rostock University. 8 of them were identified to have a Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Treatment should be done depending on the staging: Stage I and II extirpation of the tumour followed by adjunctive chemotherapy, Stage III and IV primary chemotherapy only.

[Ultrastructure of experimental adenocarcinoma of the rat stomach following long term administration of MNNG].

Gastric tumours were induced in rats by orally administration of N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG). The received adenomas and adenocarcinomas were investigated electron microscopically. In this paper we give a short description of main ultrastructural specialities of tumour cells, which can be derived from mucoid surface cells and mucous cells of antropyloric glands.

Adenocarcinoma↗

[Intramural diverticulosis and adenomyomatosis of the gallbladder].

Issuing from an own observation the clinical picture of the adenomyomatosis and the intramural diverticulosis of the gall bladder is considered from the clinical, radiological and pathologo-anatomical point of view. The opinions which are not homogeneous are explained and discussed. Also abortive forms may radiologically be proved with probability.

Adenoma↗

[Punch and suction biopsy in the diagnosis of prostatic neoplasms].

133 prostate punch biopsies were examined in histologic way and 90 aspiration biopsies in cytologic way. The histologic and cytologic results of the altogether 116 patients are discussed in connection with the differently tentative findings of rectal palpation. Prostate punch and aspiration biopsies can be used as completion methods in cancer prophylaxis examination. The all-metal needle after Deutschmann (Zittau/GDR) repeatedly to be used for punch biopsy has proved its worth.

Adenocarcinoma↗

[Ultrastructural studies on differentiation and proliferation of mouse peritoneal macrophages (author's transl)].

Mouse peritoneal macrophages show considerable variations of the cell structure, but 98% of macrophages clearly differ from the other peritoneal exsudate cells. This part is reduced too 96% after i.p. injection of erythrocytes. The nature of the unclassified cells is discussed. A local proliferation is observed in 1% of peritoneal macrophages after injection of sheep erythrocytes, auto-erythrocytes and 0,9% NaC1-solution. After erythrocyte injection the proliferation begins with delay in time at the end of intracellular digestion.

[Autographical investigations of the transfer of labeled RNA from macrophages to lymphocytes (author's transl)].

By means of electron microscopic autoradiography we demonstrated a radioactivity in mice spleen lymphocytes after a common cultivation for 1 h with 3H-uridine marked autologian macrophages, washed profoundly. The radioactivity in lymphocytes is small after contact with unstimulated macrophages and is markedly increased after common cultivation with antigen stimulated macrophages. A transfer of RNA molecules of macrophages into lymphocytes is supposed.

[Electron microscopic studies on the peritoneal exudate of the mouse to determine the effect of colloidal carbon on the primary immune response to heterologous erythrocytes].

Antibody production to sheep erythrocytes was markedly depressed in mice injected intraperitoneally with colloidal carbon. Peritoneal exudate cells were investigated electron microscopically with regard to mechanisms responsible for lower antibody production. Peritoneal macrophages were not disturbed in antigen phagocytosis and antigen digestion. Only in connection with immunosuppression was there an increase in antigen containing macrophages in the peritoneal cavity. The changing relation of antigen-stimulated macrophages and lymphocytes in favour of the macrophages and its consequence to decreased immune response is discussed.
