Merging critical care units: deciding which units to merge.
Health care providers today have the challenge of enhancing patient outcomes while simultaneously reducing costs. To accomplish this, combining two or more units under one manager is an option to consider. This article will describe a process that could be taken when deciding to merge critical care units either physically or managerially.
