[Primary angiosarcoma of the spleen].

Primary spleen angiosarcoma is a malignant neoplasia based on vascular tissue and it is a rare tumor (65 cases published). The clinical aspects are obscure and the specific diagnosis is made by laparotomy. The prognosis is very poor in any case and survival isn't more than two years, whenever the spleen undergoes spontaneous rupture in which case the survival should be less than six months. The splenectomy before rupture could increase survival. Patients with or without metastatic disease may be treated by chemotherapy but with poor results. Radiotherapy is used for relief the pain produced for bone metastasis.

[The extraintestinal manifestations of Crohn's disease: our experience].

During a period of sixteen years we have treated 120 patients with Crohn's disease, 41 of them with extraintestinal lesions besides of it's main intestinal pathology. These patients represented the 34.1% of all attended in this service. We describe the clinical and epidemiological aspects and the incidence of extraintestinal manifestations of the disease. Joint manifestations were prominent (90.2%), followed by cutaneous-mucosal lesions (47.8%) and cholelithiasis (24.3%). Urinary symptoms secondary to fistula or invasion from the adjoining inflammatory process came in fourth place. Other rare localizations are described. The literature is reviewed.
