Massive prostatic hypertrophy.

An unusual case is presented in which an enormously enlarged prostate gland, producing minimal urinary tract symptoms and changes, was removed via the retropubic route without operative complications and with a benign postoperative course. Applicability of the retropubic procedure in such cases is emphasized. A brief review of the literature is tabulated.

Anterior urethral diverticulum in the male: report of two cases.

Anterior urethral diverticulum in the male is relatively uncommon; 2 additional cases are presented. One of the patients had a unique fusiform dilatation of the urethra, the first to be reported in an adult as an acquried diverticulum. Features distinguishing acquired from congenital urethral diverticula are discussed.
