[Effectiveness of depin-E in patients with chronic bronchitis].

Acute course and long-term regimens of depin-E administration were evaluated clinically and pharmacologically in 50 patients with chronic obstructive bronchitis (COB) and chronic cor pulmonale (CCP). The drug has three mechanisms of action: arteriolovenodilating, bronchodilating, direct pulmonary vascular. Therapeutic effect was achieved in 80% and 60% of COB and CCP patients, respectively. No response was demonstrated for patients with severe cardiac failure. Depin-E can be recommended for prophylaxis and treatment of CCP, to arrest hypertension crises in lesser circulation, to improve pulmonary circulation, central hemodynamics, exercise tolerance.

[Dependence of myocardium function on the degree of coronary bed involvement in chronic ischemic heart disease patients with and without previous myocardial infarct].

A total of 104 patients with chronic ischaemic heart disease were examined. The left ventricle myocardial function was studied by determining the signs of overload of the atria by the method of enhanced atrial vectorcardiography, which were compared to the data of heart catheterization, and of left ventriculography. This showed the reliability of the non-invasive methods of investigation. The degree of lesions of the coronary bed was determined in the bicycle ergometric tests and by selective coronarography. A group of patients who had not suffered myocardial infarction showed trends of progressing signs of myocardial insufficiency corresponding to the degree of the damage of the coronary bed. In a group of patients, who had suffered myocardial infarction, myocardial insufficiency was more manifest, however, even in them the degree of myocardial lesion was closely associated not only with the presence of the scar changes but also with the degree of the damage of the coronary bed.

[Comparative characteristics of various anti-arrhythmia agents used under clinical conditions].

Comparative clinical and experimental study of the efficacy of the currently used anti-arrhythmic agents was conducted on 610 patients (828 cases) with various disorders of the cardiac rhythm. The modern classification of these agents is given. The indications and contra-indications for the prescription of the drugs, the optimum doses, and the routes of administration are discussed. Differentiated therapy in various disorders of the cardiac rhythm is recommended.

[Certain problems of treatment of ischemic heart disease].

On the basis of extended personal experience and of the literature data, the authors give recommendations for differentiated rational drug therapy of different stages of ischaemic heart disease. The results of a study of comparative efficacy of 15 coronary-active drugs used in 709 patients with ischaemic heart disease are presented along with their clinical pharmacology, side effects, indications and counterindications. The conclusions were arrived at on the basis of an objective clinical and laboratory study of the effect of the drugs. The methods of evaluation of the drug's efficacy and of the selection of patients for the administration of adequate therapy are described, which permits to use these recommendations for practical purposes. Some problems of the pathogenesis of ischaemic heart disease are discussed in terms of the selection of pathogenetic therapy.

[Use of tactivin and imunofan for the treatment of patients with endometrial carcinoma].

Immunofan and tactivin, employed as a means of immunological correction in the complex treatment of adenocarcinoma, decrease the onset frequency of radiation-induced complications and exhibit a pronounced immunocorrector effect. This was indicated by increasing level of lymphocytes (including CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, and CD19+), helper coefficient (CD4+/CD8+), and phagocyte activity of neutrophils, as well as by the tendency to normalization of the HCT-test results. Immunofan somewhat exceeds tactivin in the efficacy of endometrium adenocarcinoma treatment.

[Development of methods for research on the clinical pharmacology of drugs used in cardiovascular diseases].

Repeated pharmacodynamic studies of more than 30 drugs with hypotensive, antianginal and antiarrhythmic effects were performed in over 1,200 patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases, predominantly ischemic heart disease and hypertensive disease. The result of the work was optimization of the drug dosage regimen during course treatment; real diagnostic possibilities of functional research methods were revealed.
