Gluteoplasty: a ten-year report.

In 1979 the author published an article on torsoplasty which included plastic reconstruction and augmentation of the deformed gluteal region. Several cases are presented in this article which are follow-ups to the type of gluteoplasty described ten years ago. It was found that there was considerable postoperative improvement for the patient and satisfaction for the surgeon.

Atrophy↗

The callous elbow and aging of the upper arm.

The author describes his surgical approach to the problems of the aging upper arm and elbow region. Surgery at an appropriate age can prevent the progressive wrinkling of the elbow which is further aggravated by aging of the upper arm. The author's operation is aimed at correcting both portions of the arm anatomy at the same time.

Arm↗

The fat nose.

The "fat" or sebaceous nose,* with its thick, bulky skin filled with prominent sebaceous glands, is often improved surgically only by the use of external excisions of this tissue. The author describes several variations of this technique with representative cases.

Humans↗

An update on blepharoplasty.

An integral perspective of the aging eyelid is presented. A classification into three different degrees of aging is done, according to gravitation and excess skin present. The surgical techniques for third-degree aging are described, and a ten-year bibliography is presented to show the reader the interest that this anatomical region has had in the medical profession.
