[The relative critical threshold of erythrocyte hemoglobin concentration in isovolemic hemodilution].

The purpose of our research was register the relative critical threshold of erythrocyte hemoglobin concentration: that criteria, on basis of which was possible to be determined, whether the parameters of red blood for maintenance of oxygen delivery are sufficient in each particular case. Have compared two groups patients afterwards surgical stoppage gastro-intestinal bleeding and urgent intravascular volume replacement; 1) hemotransfusion was accompanied decrease of concentration patient's lactate level; 2) hemotransfusion was not accompanied decrease of concentration patient's lactate level. Have generated the algorithm of indications for transfusion of homologous blood in kind pyramid, in basis are incorporated sensitive, but underspecifically symptoms: the decrease of hemoglobin concentration, especially less 6 g/dl; the decrease of oxygen pressure, degree of hemoglobin saturation with oxygen in venous blood; the increase of blood lactate level; the relative increase cardiac output for account frequency of stroke volume and/or value of stroke volume; positive "oxygen cost" of hemotransfusion.

[Anaphylactogenicity of dextran-conjugated serum globulins].

Active anaphylaxis in 238 guinea-pigs has revealed a decrease in the anaphylactogenic activity of horse blood serum IgG conjugates with dextran and of serum treated with dextran according to Diaferm method. The conjugates were used for a challenge injection. The sensitizing activity of dextran-conjugated proteins was higher than that of native proteins. The effect was most pronounced with 150,000 D dextran used as a matrix. A lower increase in sensitizing protein activity and a decrease in anaphylactogenic activity were achieved with dextran matrix of the molecular weight of 35-50 D and protein/dextran ratio from 1:6 to 1:9.

[Complement and heterophil antibody levels in monkeys under conditions of antiorthostatic hypokinesia].

The experiments with sexually immature (about 3 years) primates Macaca mulatta exposed to head-down tilt and clinostatic hypokinesia showed an increase in the complementary activity of serum and a decrease of heterophil antibodies in the first case. It is inferred that an increase in the complement content reflects an adaptive reaction to head-down tilt and a decrease in heterophil antibodies indicates an inhibition of antibody-forming cells (B-lymphocytes).

[Effect of stimulation of the head of the caudate nucleus on the activity of posture muscles during development of the instrumental avoidance reflex].

In chronic experiments on dags, instrumental avoidance reflexes associated with maintenance of a certain posture, revealed prevalence of inhibitory effect of preliminary low--frequency (2/ sec) stimulation of caudate nucleus' head in the right as well as left hemisphere on electromyographic and mechanographic components of the reflex actualizing its motor program. The most dramatic changes occurred in the posture components of the EMG which suggests the importance of the caudate nucleus' head for posture organization. The caudate nucleus' head is bilaterally involved in the pretriggering processes forerunning the instrumental reflex. At the same time, a difficulty in inhibition of resolving the instrumental task proper--avoidance of the electric current--was obvious in stimulation of the caudate nucleus' head in the system of instrumental avoidance reflexes.

[Increase in the agglutination activity of rat blood serum following total body irradiation with supralethal doses].

Irradiation of immunized (during the decrease in the immune response, i.e. on the 14th day following the immunization with sheep erythrocytes) and nonimmunized rats leads to a considerable increase in the level of immune and normal antimicrobial antibodies 3 and 24 h following irradiation. Irradiation on the 7th day of the immune response does not cause the increase in the level of antibodies.

[Participation of the head of the caudate nucleus of the dog in mechanisms of conditioned reflex postural reorganization].

On the model of instrumental defensive reflexes, components of conditioned postural reorganization were analyzed in 5 dogs before and after preliminary stimulation of the caudate nucleus head (CNH) of the contralateral (with respect to the active limb) hemisphere. The disturbance of normal function of the striatum caused by electric stimulation of CNH or by pathological changes elicited by a prolonged (during two-four years) CNH stimulation led to a significant change in the main mechanisms of posture reorganization: disturbances of the centre of gravity transfer and sharp rise of time of weight redistribution to the supporting limbs. Changes elicited by caudate pathology and by CNH stimulation went in the same direction. It is suggested that disturbances in the initiation of voluntary movement in striate pathology, are mainly caused by disturbances in posture initiation and reorganization, necessary for movement execution.

[A new method for treating patients with chronic prostatitis].

A new preparation is reported for treatment of chronic inflammation of the prostate, which substantially lowers rates of patients' complaints and depresses the secretion leucocyte reaction. Prostatilen was shown to be capable of normalization of immunity status of the chronic prostatitis patients thus lowering the microbial index of the cultured prostate secretion microorganisms. The following new nonantibacterial strategy of treatment of chronic prostatitis patients is proposed: prostatilen given as a single agent or in combination with immunomodulators and physiotherapeutic methods. Antibacterial therapy is to be instituted on a short-term basis only during the period of exacerbation of the inflammatory process.

[The validation of the use of prostatilen and testilin for treating male infertility].

The paper substantiates the use in clinical setting of medicinal preparations obtaining from prostate and tests, in male infertility. Using male rats for an experimental model of infertility it was shown that prostatilene and testilin exert a stimulating effect on spermatogenesis and androgenic functions of the testis. Those agents appear to correct androgenic-estrogenic balance in the animal organism as a model of infertility. The experiment permitted a conclusion to be drawn to the effect that prostatilene and testilin are liable to be of clinical benefit when used to stimulate spermatogenesis in infertility and hypoandrogenization; besides, the rise in androgens may stimulate copulative function in patients with sexual problems.
