[Desquamative glossitis].

Clinical features of the geographical stomatitis were studied in 28 patients. Two stages of the disease could be singled out: ring-formed patterns with a keratose margins around them and circular erythematose stains without rings. The problems of etiopathogenesis, differential diagnose and terminology are discussed. In many patients gastrointestinal disorders were detected. The majority of those under investigation showed various phobiae suggesting the need in psychotherapy.
