[Generalized congenital fibromatosis (author's transl)].

About a spontaneously regressive case of osteo-cutaneous congenital fibromatosis, the authors describe the characteristics of the disease (32 observations). Although the majority of cases are sporadic, 3 familial observations are in favour of a dominant autosomal transmission of low penetrance. Study of the familial cases and analysis of the different localisations demonstrate the unicity of the so-called diffuse forms with visceral involvement and of the so-called generalized forms without visceral involvement congenital fibromatosis is characterized by several fibromas at birth: in two-thirds of the cases, it is a purely cutaneous or osteocutaneous form, which disappears spontaneously; in one third of the cases, it is a cutaneous or osteo-cutaneous form with lethal visceral involvement.

[Collodion baby. Clinical course based on 29 cases].

Study of 29 cases of collodion baby and 169 cases previously published led to several conclusions. In the short-term, the child is threatened by pulmonary infections. The increased skin permeability may result in the loss of water or intoxication by cutaneous absorption of a substance applied to the skin. In the long-term the condition progresses to one of a congenital disturbances in keratinisation. In 2/3 of cases, the problem is that of congenital non-bullous ichthyosiform erythrodermia. Profression to lamellar ichthyosis, ichthyosis vulgaris, circumflex linear ichthyosos and Conradi's syndrome is established. Ichthyosis related to sex in our cases did not seem to be a feature of the collodion baby, the opinion in the literature being divergent. Congenital bullous ichthyosiform erythrodermia never begins as collodion baby syndrome.

[W-shaped napkin rash in infants (author's transl)].

The W-shaped napkin rash affects mainly the convex parts of the perianal region of infants, avoiding the fold and perianal cleft. The dermatitis is of traumatic origin due to the friction of paper napkins. It heals under antiseptic treatment on condition that the use of paper napkins and rubber pants, which cause occlusion is stopped temporarily.

[Intra-ungual linear opacities in psoriasis. Apropos of 10 cases].

Out of 145 patients with psoriasis, the authors observed in 10 cases linear opacities within the nails. They were not found in 128 controls of the same age. The routine was of X-ray films without a screen permitted their demonstration. These radio-opaque lines found in psoriasis may be the result of topical substances applied to the keratin of the psoriatic nail.
