[The computer at the pathologist's laboratory].

Computers are coming into practical use by pathologists. The computer hardware and software are briefly outlined. The software is discussed while drawing up protocols on the examination of biopsies, operative materials and autopsies. A special attention is given to the SNOP and SNOMED coding of diagnoses. How to operate on a computer is described in the paper. The latter provides evidence for applying the computer to the formulation of laboratory documents.

[Waves on the cell surface].

A new theoretical model is presented which describes dynamics of interaction between the plasmic membrane, cell cortex and cytoplasmic liquid. Analysis of the equation system describing this interaction has shown that besides the uniform solution (corresponding to a flat cell surface) there exists the stable autowave solution (corresponding to standing or running harmonic waves along the cell surface). The latter solution can be related to the experimentally observed waves moving along the cell surface.
