[Central, pulmonary and hepatic hemodynamics at the developmental stages of cardiopulmonary insufficiency].

The analysis of correlations between the time and speed parameters found out that in healthy subjects and patients with chronic nonspecific bronchitis (CNB) the blood flow in great hepatic vessels is provided by the amount of blood entering the aorta in the systole. When central hemodynamics is affected in the CNB exacerbation, this factor becomes essential also for the arterial inflow into middle-size and small branches of the hepatic artery. Persistent bronchial obstruction and labile pulmonary hypertension rise as a result of failure of adequate relations between systemic, pulmonary and hepatic hemodynamics. The condition of great arterial vessels of the liver gets dependent on lesser and greater circulation. The response of the middle-size and small branches of the hepatic artery in chronic obstructive bronchitis (functional class II) is independent of the vascular tone of the lesser and greater circulation. The conclusion is made that intrahepatic blood flow in patients with secondary pulmonary hypertension is regulated by vasoactive factors acting at the level of the organ (mainly kallikrein-kinin system and prostaglandins).

[Various aspects of the pathogenesis of cardiorespiratory disorders in acute pneumonia].

A complex of non-invasive methods was used to study cardiohemodynamics of the greater and pulmonary circulation in 150 patients with acute pneumonia. It has been demonstrated that there is a functional interrelation between the level of arterial hypoxemia, the intensity of restrictive and obstructive disorders of ventilation and cardiohemodynamics. The mechanisms of adaptation reactions of the circulatory apparatus in acute pneumonia are discussed.

[Dynamics of the blood flow in the joints of patients with rheumatoid arthritis--clinico-instrumental comparisons].

A certain stage-by-stage change in the regional blood flow was revealed in patients with rheumatoid arthritis depending on the degree of synovitis markedness. Having taken the volumetric blood flow and its intensity as the main criterion for the adequacy of regional hemodynamics, the authors propose to distinguish phases of compensation, subcompensation, and decompensation in the regional blood flow.

[Post-thyrotoxic arterial hypertension].

The paper is concerned with the results of a study of the state of central hemodynamics, sympathetic-adrenal and renin-angiotensin systems to reveal their role in the development of postthyrotoxic arterial hypertension. Altogether 147 patients with diffuse toxic goiter before therapy and 114 patients after surgery (subtotal subfascial thyroidectomy after O. V. Nikolaev or its modification) were investigated. In 35 (30.7%) of 114 operated on patients BP values in the long-term postoperative period were above 160/95 mm Hg. Hemodynamic indices and the state of the vasoactive system were correlated. In the authors' opinion, raised activity of the sympathetic-adrenal and renin-angiotensin systems observed during decompensation of diffuse toxic goiter and progressing after surgery, led to the transformation of central hemodynamics of the hyperkinetic type into the hypokinetic one, causing the development of postthyrotoxic arterial hypertension.
