[Combined osteosynthesis using biocompatible polymer fixators in the treatment of tubular bone fractures].

In the paper, apart from the results of clinical application of biocompatible polymeric fixatives, are presented the detailed characteristics of physical and mechanical properties of polymeric rods, indicated prospects for development of the following generations of biocompatible polymeric fixatives, exhibiting not only high strength but therapeutic activity as well due to incorporation of different medicinal substances as components of the polymeric base composition. The authors present detailed description of the combined osteosynthesis methods on a basis of use of biocompatible polymeric fixatives according to the fracture localization, period of time elapsed since the moment of trauma etc., analyze the remote results of the treatment.

[Effect of blood transfusion on specific anti-tetanus immunity].

The clinical and experimental studies have demonstrated that in patients with large lesions accompanied by blood loss, injection of heterogenous antitetanic blood serum may be withdrawn during emergency prophylaxis of tetanus provided these patients are administered hemotherapy. Such a treatment policy makes it possible to considerably reduce the incidence of allergic complications that may occur after injection of antitetanic horse serum.

[The correction of the cardiovascular system changes in patients with the spastic form of infantile cerebral palsy in the chronic residual stage by means of mesodiencephalic modulation].

Transcranial electrotherapy--mesodiencephalic modulation on the basis of activation of the central regulatory structures induced by weak impulse current--proved effective in relief of clinical symptoms and mitral prolapse, correction of conduction, automatism, contractility, vegetative unbalance due to normalization of the sympathetic and parasympathetic components of the autonomic nervous system.
