[The efficacy of treating peptic ulcer patients with trichopol and dalargin].

A study of 90 patients with endoscopically proved duodenal ulcer revealed that dalargin and trichopol+dalargin treatment resulted in early scarring of the ulcer and control of gastroesophageal and duodenogastric reflux in the majority of patients. Gastroduodenitis symptoms were not eliminated in a half of all patients. It was shown that persistent manifestations of gastroduodenitis remained in patients with a pronounced pyloric helicobacteriosis and a high titer of antibodies to cells of the gastric mucosa.

[Effects of dalargin on hemodynamics of anesthesized rats during truncal vagotomy].

I/v dalargin injection (20-25 g/kg) to narcotized rats in case of total myoplegia effectively protect hemodynamic changes under nociceptive stimulation. Bilateral truncal vagotomy partially decrease the protective effect of dalargin. Protective effect of the medicine results in activation of central and peripheral opioid receptors.

[Echography in the diagnosis of organic pathology of the hepatopancreaticoduodenal area after cholecystectomy].

Potentialities were studied of echography in the exploration of characteristics of the biliary system in those patients (n = 168) in the remote period following cholecystectomy who suffered from postcholecystectomy syndrome (PChES). More than one-third of the PChES patient population demonstrated different changes in the biliary tract, such as concrements, aerobilia, inflammatory process, etc. Pancreatic pathology was recorded in 28.57 percent, hepatic abnormalities--in 32.7 percent of PChES cases. Echography was proved to be a method of high informative value in a comprehensive evaluation of the condition of the biliary system and adjacent organs in postcholecystectomy patients.

[The etiotropic and pathogenetic treatment of patients with chronic gastritis and primary chronic gastroduodenitis].

120 patients with chronic gastritis and primary chronic gastroduodenitis were given a three-week course of etiopathogenetic treatment (antichelibacterial and immunocorrective drugs) that allowed to diminish the clinical, bacteriological and immune manifestations of the disease and achieve a complete cure in most patients. Patients with marked chelibacteriosis revealed greater refractoriness. The authors recommend prolonged courses of treatment with alternations of etiologically directed drugs.

[The personality characteristics of patients with duodenal peptic ulcer].

Using MMPI test, 196 patients with duodenal ulcer were studied for their personal traits. The patients' personality was characterized by a high level of anxiety, mental tension, emotional immaturity, affective rigidity, suppressed aggression. The most apparent in the young adults were deviations from the norm of psychopathic nature; as patients grew older, their illness of longer duration, their personal profile tended to be dominated by a problem of suppressed aggression and emotional immaturity, with hypochondriac and depressive tendencies to be on the increase. The personal traits did not appear to be dependent upon severity of the disease course or much affected by the treatments administered that incorporated tranquilizers, antidepressants and a novel synthetic opioid hexapeptide dalargin.
