On the basis of rats' experiments under conditions of HBO a close relationship was established between the intensity of immune processes and peroxide oxidation of lipids (POL). The study enabled to show a connection between immunoreactivity stimulation in spleen cells and certain levels of POL intensity and anti-oxidation protection as well. There were assessed diverse HBO effects on intact and immune organism and hyperbaric dependence of immunodepression on POL's intensification.
The presence in the organism of an inhibitory factor expressing its activity under conditions of increased macromolecular globulins production (of M-immunoglobulins in particular) was established experimentally. The inhibitory factor depressed the avidity of the macromolecular antibodies; its appearance preceded reduction of the macromolecular protein level in the blood serum. The inhibitory effect of the blood serum in blood letting and vaccination with bacterial antigen is connected with the blood serum albumins, and with increased cystein and sulfhydryl groups concentration.

A total of 189 cases with retinal vein thrombosis are analyzed. For 124 patients of these, the traditional therapy was supplemented with a course of endovascular laser exposure and 65 were treated traditionally. Analysis of the results of biochemical analyses showed that the level of medium-molecular plasma peptides and lipid peroxidation products was appreciably increased in such patients, and the balance in the system of cell proliferation inhibitors and stimulants is shifted. Endovascular laser exposure of the blood, added to the therapeutic complex for patients with retinal vein thromboses, helped attain better functional results and reduce the incidence of complications.
