Radiographic study of mandibular nutrient canals.

This study was undertaken to determine the correlation between the presence of nutrient canals in the mandibular anterior region and sex, age, edentulous mandible, periodontal disease, and high blood pressure. The periapical roentgenograms taken from the mandibular anterior region of 1040 patients were examined. According to the data obtained from the present study, the occurrence of nutrient canals in the mandibular anterior region seemed related to age, edentulous mandible, periodontal problems, and high blood pressure. However, no relation to sex was found.

Central mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the jaws. Review of the literature and case report.

A CMEC which occurred within the right maxillary canine-third molar region of a 34-year-old male was presented. The clinical symptoms were swelling and pain. Radiologically the lesion looked like an ameloblastoma or residual cyst. Hemimaxillectomy was the treatment. No evidence of recurrence has been observed for ten months after the operation.

Multiple bilateral dens invaginatus and an impacted cuspid in the maxillary incisor region. Case report.

A case of multiple bilateral dens invaginatus in the maxillary incisor teeth and an impacted cuspid has been presented. The impacted cuspid was removed surgically.
